(NaturalNews) We already know that cloned beef has entered the food supply both in the United States (http://www.naturalnews.com/023718_food_beef_cloned.html) and the UK (http://www.naturalnews.com/029411_cloned_beef_food.html). Now, thanks to revelations from JR Simplot , a U.S. company specializing in the cloning of cows for beef production, we’re learning that dead cows are cloned to produce the next generation of beef cattle. Here’s how it works: A large number of cows are slaughtered and then chopped into steaks that are tested for their flavor, texture and other qualities important to steak eaters. The source animal of each steak is recorded, and cells from that source carcass are preserved for possible cloning in case the steak turns out to taste good. Once all the steaks are gauged for their desirability, the dead cow carcasses from which the flesh was cut to produce the steaks are harvested for their DNA. This DNA is then used to clone new cows who are fed…
Cloned beef has now entered the food supply
(NaturalNews) The U.K. Food Standards Agency (FSA) recently announced that the meat from a cloned cow has made its way into the food supply. According to a recent BBC report, a U.K. farmer purchased cloned bull embryos from the U.S., bred the animals and sold one of them as food back in July 2009. The report states that Steven Innes, the farmer who purchased the cloned embryos and sold the cloned meat, did so in full accordance with the law. “We investigated whether this was legal at the time and understood that there was no issue,” he explained in a statement. “We acted in good faith throughout and have been fully compliant with the relevant authorities.” He went on to explain that the British government had expressly authorized the animals to enter the food chain. However, an investigation is currently underway as Innes did not properly notify authorities about the …

Clementine Art, the natural alternative to toxic art supplies

(NaturalNews) Paints, glues, crayons, markers: many of these things purchased conventionally contain artificial chemical dyes, petrochemicals and other unknown ingredients, despite bearing a non-toxic label. Millions of children use such art supplies every day in preschool, art class and at home, and are unwittingly exposed to unknown levels of contaminants. Fortunately, there is a safe alternative. Diana Mercer is a teacher of young children in art and founder of Clementine Art, a natural children’s art supply company. For many years, she has helped children express their creative intuitions through art, but became concerned over what hidden ingredients might be lurking in the supposed non-toxic art supplies she was using. She began to create her own art supplies from the natural ingredients in her kitchen as an alternative, which eventually birthed into Clementine Art. Today, the company produces truly natural, non-toxic modeling dough, glue, crayons, paints, crayons and markers. All of the products are certified non-toxic, environmentally-friendly and free of artificial…

(NaturalNews) Ask around and you’ll hear this over and over again: People are concerned about what might be coming. They’re concerned about a global financial collapse, an ecological crisis and potential disruptions in the food supply. The radical weather patterns now being witnessed across the world are further indication that something’s wrong with the world we thought we knew. But what’s really going to happen between now and 2012? Is there any way to take an educated guess about which challenges are most likely to appear? That’s what I’ve done here in this collection of thirty-five predictions for 2010 – 2012. Although I can’t actually see the future in some sort of crystal ball, I do have a successful track record of predicting many large-scale events years before they happen. As published here on NaturalNews, my predictions for 2009 clocked in at 79% accuracy (http://www.naturalnews.com/027964_predictions_world_events.html). I’m on the record calling the 2007 housing crash a full two years before it took place (http://www.naturalnews.com/News_…
